Ok, so I've been really busy the last four or five weeks, in case you couldn't tell. My mom, had surgery on Monday because she popped her arm out of its socket while white water rafting. It was very similar to the last time she went rafting (and also popped her arm out of joint). Nothing serious, just painful. So she's on some pretty heavy painkillers right now and will be out of commission for a while. She'd appreciate some prayers for a quick recovery.

And now for the mystery writer. I'll take Laura's suggestion and post a blog and see who guesses the author first. It shouldn't be too hard.

"So, I've been traveling around with Caleb a bit this summer and its been going pretty good. First we went to his parents' house in Colorado. While we were there we also went to see his brother at the Air Force Academy. The dorms seem pretty dormish, but the chapel looked pretty cool, all pointy like. Too bad there was a wedding, so we couldn't actually go inside. After that we went to Garden of the Gods which is a big park that has some interesting rock formations. I enjoyed it a lot more than the other things on the trip. I have to admit that I liked the way the plants were laid out and had no interest in actually climbing the rocks. After that we spent some time with Caleb's relatives and they went camping, but I had no interest. Aparently while they were backpacking, Caleb and his dad climbed a mountain and had rain, hail, and snow! [Caleb's note: we really were not prepared for the hail and snow.] Then when they made camp there were no flat places, so they had to tie their tent to a tree to keep it from sliding downhill. That's why I prefer to stay at home and work in my garden. After Colorado, we flew back to Oregon. We've been staying with his grandparents in Eugene. Caleb's mostly been taking classes and hanging out with people. I've mostly been bumming around his school or his grandparents' place, just enjoying my summer. Its nice not to have to work. Although his grandfather is working on putting up a new garden patio with a train set, so I might help him with that or help them tending their garden. They have a nice deer fence and koi pond. I'll see if I can post some photographs online so you can all see what we've been doing on our trip. In Oregon, so far we have been to Eugene, Florence (the beach), Klamath Falls (S. Oregon), Hillsboro (Caleb's hometown), Portland (N. Oregon), and this weekend we'll be going to Frenchglen (middle of nowhere) in eastern Oregon. So we've basically covered most of Oregon, and we might even hit Nevada, California, and Washington briefly. Overall its been a nice relaxing summer with a mix of relaxing, watching tv, working outside, taking naps, and just enjoying life. Caleb, on the other hand, has been working like mad to get all of his homework done and spend time with people. So do you know who I am yet? Hopefully it will take you a few tries to guess."

Let the guessing begin.
