So the last two or three weeks have been very, very busy. My parents drove back to Colorado on Thursday. They ended up staying longer than expected due to some car problems, but that was nice. Yesterday I spent several hours hauling stone for borders and today we spent most of the day planting. Tomorrow we should finish with this round of plants (more to come later). Sometime we'll build a back deck and install a sprinkler system, but I don't know when we'll do to that. So to summarize it all, I have regained my sandal tan.

One of other nice things about my parents visiting, is that they brought a lot of my stuff out, including all of my books. I'm really excited. Today was the first day that I had any time to look at them because I've been busy all the other days. Right now there are 12 or 13 little piles of books plus another box or two in the garage. But pulling out my books on morphology and phonology, Hebrew and Buddhism, it made me feel like an academ again. Its something that I have dealt with in a long time, so its nice to see the books again (even if I don't immediately have a chance to read them). Kind of like seeing old friends. It really was like seeing old friends when I came across my O-Week book and Meet Sheet. That was amusing.
