I've been doing a lot of bill paying and such recently (its not very much fun). But of the things that I've found, there have been a few deals that I think really are good deals. The only way to fly out of Klamath Falls is to use Alaska Airlines, so we signed up for one of their credit cards. I also found that they have a buy-in option for their frequent flier people, that you pay about $150 to get into. The nice thing about these two programs is that, you get companion tickets for cheap or free. That means that for the price of about $75 (annual fee for the credit card) I get a $50 companion ticket. So if I fly somewhere, Anna can come for just 50 buck. Or with the buy-in thing I get two free companion tickets. Unfortunetly, they have blackout dates from Dec 20-Jan 8, so we can't use them for visiting my parents for Christmas. But when we have to fly out to training camp in Florida, it will probably save us a good four hundred dollars. Plus they have extra thousands of bonus miles for when we book using their credit card, etc. So if you know you're going to be flying one airlines a lot like we are, you might look into getting one of their credit cards.

Also we got a membership at REI, which seems like a great deal. For $15, we got a discount that was more than the price for lifetime membership, better return policy, and access to some potentially really good deals. This is quite a bit better than membership at a lot of other stores, so if you like camping stuff, you might check this out. Admittedly, REI is more expensive than other outdoor stores, but I was really impressed by the quality of everything there.
