I'm really tired. If you've been praying that I would get more work please stop. Pray rather that I would have enough strength to get through the work I have or that I'd find the right balance. Right now I have three part time jobs. I work for Fall Photography with Anna, I substitute for the school district and I still teach two community college classes. Most days I only have one or two of them, but on Tuesday, I had all three. Now that was a long day! Most days I come home and fall asleep long before I mean to. This weekend we're going up to Hillsboro for a missions conference at my church. You could also pray that Anna gets her school work done and all of her paperwork in so that she can finish soon.
By the way, subbing is an interesting job. I think it will take me a while before I can figure out how to keep 25+ third and fourth graders' collective attention and still manage to teach them something. On my last job (which incidently was at the school where my grandfather went when he was a kid), I had about six boys and I never could get them all to be quiet and pay attention. It wasn't until one of them got in a fight with another boy and I had to send them to the principal's office that I finally got them to listen. They also sent down another teacher, probably because they figured I couldn't handle the situation, which might have been the case. But they did behave much better after he yelled at them about how ashamed he was of their behavior. I wonder if that was how they normally acted, or if it was me, or if it was just that they were wound up from it being Halloween.
I closed the day out by watching Disney's old Sleepy Hollow. Out of all the different teachers I've read about or watched in movies or tv, I really don't associate well with Ichabod Crane. Maybe I should go with the Teacher from the Black Lagoon or something.
